Kate Simpson, Consultant Solicitor
Kate Simpson is an exceptional lawyer with experience across a number of practice areas and a strong focus on employment law.
Kate has assisted the principals of PCC Employment Lawyers over recent years with a number of workplace related issues, including independent investigations, unfair dismissals, and negotiations between employers and employees over the interpretation of industrial instruments, terms and conditions of employment, and the termination of employment.
Before her career in law, Kate was a Registered Nurse for 18 years working in general hospitals and aged care, in regional and remote locations throughout Australia, including Derby WA, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs in the NT and Lismore and Armidale in NSW. She remains committed to the support of regional and rural Australia, and the various legal issues it faces. Through her work as a lawyer, and formerly as a nurse and medical practice owner, Kate maintains a passion for the Health, Social, Community, Disability, and Aged Care sectors. She is also highly committed to issues relating to first Australians.
Kate is currently seconded to PCC Employment Lawyers. Her substantive role is with Moin Morris Schaefer in Armidale, where she is committed to providing legal services to rural and regional clients and enjoys working with principal Greg Moin in relation to Employment, Commercial, Property and Agri-Law issues.
